Am busy tonight ...

Another layout for the year - 4 done so far, lots of bright colours inspired by our lovely weather! :)

NZ Dares Challenge

Was blog surfing the other day came upon NZ Dares first challenge for 2008. 'Tickle my fancy' - well I knew straight away what layout to get done and post for it - so here it is ....

Yip, Emma just came out with this one day - so cute! So we sat down and painted her toes that day as well, but now she wants them painted all the time - what have I started?! :)

First layout of 2008!

Considering I only took the photos at the weekend - I think I have done really well to get my first layout completed in less than a week! The title is 'love the feel of sand between my toes'!Also trying a new technique - doodling, well I didn't so much doodle as draw lines round most things! lol! Got a doodling book for Christmas so slowly trying new bits and pieces out of it.

Have another layout 'under construction', hope to get this finished tonight as soon as I print the photos off.

Summertime!

Been checking out a few other blogs and there seems to be a foot theme going on ..... so thought I'd join in! So here is a pick of my new shoes I bought the other day - very funky, very green and I love them!

And this is today, in the sand at Brighton just south of Dunedin - a gorgeous day at the beach with hubby and the kids - this is what summer is all about!!

Thursday was Emma's 3rd birthday and I made some 'teddies in bed' for her party afternoon tea - very cute so had to post this pic - hehe!

But was only later when I looked closer at the expressions that I discovered this one! One grumpy teddy who obviously didn't want to go to bed! :)

Loving playing with my new camera - Sony H7 - takes pics up to 8M and has a zoom of 15 optical zoom - have taken some pretty cool pics over the last week, now just waiting to get some prints back to see what quality they are when printed.

Hope you are all having a great weekend :)

Happy New Year

Well 2008 is here already! Whew I reckon the years are speeding up, not sure where they are going - but the main thing is that I am having fun and that is all that really matters!
So now with the festive season over, it is time to think of Emma's 3rd birthday - which is in 2 days time!! No sitting back relaxing here - pressies are bought (aren't those Boxing Day sales great!), just have to be put together, cake sorted, biscuit treats to make (thanks Beverley for the 'tiny teddies in bed' idea), and bbq food to sort.

In 2008 I want to continue having fun with my scrapbooking, I would like to do some more submissions to magazines, and am looking forward to the Scrap Retreat in March.

I might even try updating my blog more often! :)
